A world-famous manufacturing group specializing in petrochemicals, steel, non-ferrous metals, fine chemicals, etc.
The client has over 30 sites in Mainland China. Key sites are connected to the HQ via MSTP, while others are connected to the HQ using IPsec over Internet method.

Challenge

The bandwidth is limited, the price is high, and the IPsec method is not stable enough.
There is no control interface; the configuration is complicated, and network management and troubleshooting are challenging.
There are no in-house IT professionals at branch sites; network services and configurations are outsourced.
Due to the needs of business development, it is required to connect the two major public cloud service providers, Alibaba Cloud and AWS, to integrate the business on the cloud.
The client expects greater bandwidth availability and more flexible network deployment without increasing bandwidth cost.

Solution

SD-WAN network reconstruction: For key sites, SST adds and binds the Internet to MPLS to achieve redundancy and bandwidth improvement, through using SD-WAN technology; For other sites, SST uses existing network resources for SD-WAN based networking. With 4G network backup equipped for all sites, network reliability is effectively improved.
